Truth is, there are so many beaches around Bali but you surely have so little time to see them all, right? If most of the beaches in Uluwatu, Kuta, and Canggu attract a good crowd of beautiful bodies and hot surfers, we absolutely love the coastline spanning South Bali’s top resort spot – Nusa Dua, which is also known for its luxury resorts and lovely manicured lawns and gardens.

In fact, the area features some naturally immaculate beaches that are nowhere to be found around the island – think turquoise shallow waters to dip your feet and white-sand beaches to throw your towel.

And what better way to enjoy Bali’s best beaches than by staying very close to them? There’s an extensive stable of accommodation in Nusa Dua, some of which we’ve tried and tested and options are for every taste and budget (despite the area being known for exclusive resorts housing more affluent tourists).

Whether it’s the sea, the sun or the sand that brings you, here are some super affordable, mid-range and high-end stays in Nusa Dua to enjoy, relax and make the best of Bali’s most stunning beaches!

Here’s an overview

Mid-range accommodation options

1. Families’ favourite pick! – Meliá Bali

Checking into Meliá Bali is a bit of a tricky decision and let me tell you why – you won’t ever want to leave!

Located smack bang on the beach and in Bali’s most family-friendly coastal town, Nusa Dua (20 minutes’ drive from the airport), the hotel possesses an air of tropical luxury like no other – lush tropical gardens surround the property and their stunning lagoon pool sits right in the middle, making you feel like you’ve just stepped into a little sanctuary that’s also absolutely worry-free when it comes to health and safety!

As part of their ‘Stay Safe by Meliá’ initiative, a series of preventive measures have been put in place to ensure you’re living the ultimate tropical paradise experience. Daily health monitoring and disinfection are conducted, while the staff has been trained and certified by the Bali International Medical Centre. Besides, guests are also kept informed about the situation in Bali prior to their arrival and the hotel’s facilities have also been altered to meet health and safety standards – protective screens in the reception, digitalized systems and more!

Now coming to the best part – you can actually jump from your bed to the lagoon pool when staying at their Lagoon Access Junior Suite which has direct access to the cooling waters! No longer will you ever have to wake up extra early to be the first one fighting for some space at the pool!

And the spectrum of things to do within the resort makes it particularly compelling for families who often mix marine activities with other life enriching cultural programs taking place during their stay – Balinese offering workshops, Balinese dance class and so much more. Of course, that is when the kids aren’t at the exciting kids’ club that runs all day long from 9am to 9pm!

Not to forget, Meliá Bali boasts a collection of exceptional theme restaurants and bars with world-class cuisine that will blow you off your feet with a tantalizing gastronomic fantasy. There’s definitely something for everyone – from Sakura, their Japanese Restaurant which features its own sushi bar and teppanyaki tables, to the delectable Sorrento Spanish Restaurant and Tapas cuisine serving paellas and seafood dishes at the Sateria Beachside Restaurant as well as their own versions of Asian cuisine at the Lotus Restaurant, while the International Restaurant and Coffee Shop available 24 hours!

If you’re looking for a stress-free vacation, Melia Bali offers an all-inclusive holiday service. This means that all of your food and drinks are included in the price of your stay, so you can relax and enjoy your time at the resort without worrying about additional expenses.

3. Experience life in a village – MERUSAKA Nusa Dua (For couples)

The architects of MERUSAKA Nusa Dua created a unique project inspired by the Penglipuran Village, a traditional Balinese countryside village. ‘The Village’ consists of 19 villas, all with private access to the 130-metre-long river-style pool.

Each villa has its portion of the river pool separated by walls, so guests can have some privacy.

4. Splendid ocean views from a cliff top – Hilton Bali Resort Nusa Dua (For families)

Who else also thinks that it doesn’t matter how awesome a hotel is if it lacks one very important element — a good view?! There are also four pools including a 30-metre waterslide for unlimited fun!

Photo Via Beautifuldestinations, TripCanvas, Iponk_saputra

Well, it’s never too late to squeeze in a beach vacation, especially if you can do it at an incredible resort located atop a 40-metre cliff overlooking the glimmering grand Indian Ocean! Even though you are located high up, the resort feels like it’s in the heart of the ocean.

If you’re a summer-loving vacationer who is considering the sound of waves as your only vacation partner, what’s better than lounging oceanside and feeling the breeze?

While every room, suite, and villa at the Hilton Bali Resort features a private balcony or terrace overlooking the ocean or lush tropical gardens, our ultimate pick is their Cliff Tower Ocean View Room that introduced balcony goals we never knew we had.

Photo Via TripCanvas

As you enter the newly-refurbished oceanview room, slide the balcony door and you’ll be greeted by unobstructed infinity views of the horizon; yes the kind that will swoon you away with salt-aired relaxing times! Not only can you see the water from the expansive balcony, but inside, sitting on your bed provides a similar feel.

Photo Via TripCanvas

The resort, wedged between palm-fringed gardens and the ocean, features 388 rooms and suites and 19 luxurious villas but its pièce de résistance sure is the common area with its six restaurants serving Japanese, Balinese, Italian and Western cuisines, along with the latest dining spot that sits right in front of the ocean “The Shore Restaurant & Bar”  and masters the art of seafood.
