Ahoy! The big day has come! Today, you get to meet dinosaur-esque creatures! Head to the harbor to meet your sea captain and sail to Padar Island, this hilly island will leave you in awe!
Next, you get to go to Komodo Island and meet the superstar of the trip, the Komodo Dragons! Finally, explore renowned pink beach and make new friends underwater as you get to dive with manta rays!
Recommended starting time: 05:00 am Note: Do pack your lunch beforehand!
First stop of the day – Padar Island! This is where you get to relish on panoramic views of majestic green hills, azure waters and a spectacular stretch of white sand beach; all at once!
We deem it as a “postcard-perfect place to see before you die!” Make sure your phone camera roll is empty and that your digital camera has an extra memory card. Go forth and explore this way-too-beautiful island and let your eyes explode with its gorgeousness.
Update: Komodo Island will be closed temporarily from January 2020 for a year, to improve its conservation efforts and increase the population of the Komodo dragons
Step into Indonesia’s Jurassic Park (Komodo National Park) and witness the giant lizards roam and rule the island. The park was selected as one for the New7Wonders of Nature and is home to the closest relative of the dinosaur!

This beach does not need to scream for Instagram likes, it’s every Barbie’s ultimate paradise!

Rumour has it that a dwindling-sized population used to live in this cave! The site has since then attracted numerous curious archeology lovers and travellers!
The history dates back to 100,000 years ago, where experts believed a group of people measuring only 106 centimetres and weighing around 30 to 40 kilograms were living here, deep in the dark cave.
Although research is still ongoing, many uncertainties still remain but for now you can visit it and witness a place where human evolution took place. Who knows, you might spot some small-sized, hairy-legged humans?

Bid farewell to the Komodo Islands and West Flores as you make your way to the airport. Scroll through your phone or camera and have a good giggle at the crazy and thrilling adventures you just had.
If you think you haven’t seen it all, you’re always welcome to come back because believe us, Flores has tons of other attractions waiting to be explored!
Anytime is a good time to visit Flores as every different season has its own uniqueness, except February, which is the peak of the region’s rain season. April till June marks the end of the rainy season and it is the perfect time to dive.
To witness the komodo dragons, we recommend you to visit during the period of July to September because this is the mating season for the giant reptile, but do note that this is also the peak season in Flores, so you can expect a lot more tourists and higher prices. If you plan to go trekking, do visit during the dry season from April till late October.
Getting around
To explore West Flores, we recommend you to rent a car with driver or guide as the road conditions here will be difficult to navigate. One popular car rental company on this island is Komodo Shuttle, which offers a wide variety of cars that include a driver and fuel.
