“Two things that every girl loves are flowers and sweets,” says my friend. So imagine being able to relish these two in a single sitting – doesn’t that make a lethal combination? That’s exactly the case at this quaint cafe.

Designed like a cafe you’d expect to find in London, you’ll immediately fall in love with the swirl of dark and light pink flowers covering the green storefront. We absolutely adore the pink decorations and small chandeliers inside the store too!

It’s a fact that Chinese food is super easy to get in Jakarta, especially in West Jakarta where a lot of Indonesian-Chinese families reside. But what makes Zhang Mama special is they’ve painted the entire restaurant pink and brightened the shop front with plants and millennial pink flowers! So don’t be surprised if your girlfriends, mom or aunties suddenly drag you here just for the photos (and the food as an afterthought).

With the owner and the chefs originating from China, you won’t be disappointed with their authentic Chinese delicacies. We recommend trying their soft and spicy Mapo Tofu and savoury Bobo Chicken (served on skewers).
