1. Jakarta’s version of London’s Peggy Porschen! – Pink Mamma
Pink Mama is the quintessential example of a cafe that exists entirely for your social media feed, and we’ve noticed that it’s been very successful among fellow Jakartans thus far (it’s all over Instagram!!).
And just like its name, Pink Mama is the pinkest cafe in the whole of Jakarta (or so we like to believe). If it’s a pink selfie, adorned with beautiful flower walls, a slice of cake and cup of coffee you’re after then grab yourself a seat here and invite your besties for the best of times!

Seating at Pink Mamma isn’t any different – it comes in the form of velvety millennial pink armchairs and couch. Now that we think of it, it’s truly a little girl’s dream come true! Where’s Mr Prince Charming though?!

Website When there are tons of flowers, you just know that this is the next it-cafe for aspiring Instagrammers. And it’s evident why, especially with the intricate-designed pink floral storefront.

But that’s where the flowers end because once you’ve entered, you’ll find a mural of the streets of Paris covering an entire wall and a collection of small pots of plants around the entire store – super artsy eh?

They’ve also taken art a step further by making their food look oh-so-delicious and gorgeous. Try their famous Marie Regal Cake that tastes as good as its looks – with its soft texture, perfect sweetness and crunchy taste of Marie Rega – or even vegan cake!

And for you savoury lovers, they also serve dishes like Quiche Chicken Mushroom.

But don’t worry about it feeling too dull because they’ve arranged a few pots of greenery around the cafe to liven up the atmosphere.

Website 4. Floral London cafe in South Jakarta – Amy and Cake
“Two things that every girl loves are flowers and sweets,” says my friend. So imagine being able to relish these two in a single sitting – doesn’t that make a lethal combination? That’s exactly the case at this quaint cafe.
Designed like a cafe you’d expect to find in London, you’ll immediately fall in love with the swirl of dark and light pink flowers covering the green storefront. We absolutely adore the pink decorations and small chandeliers inside the store too!
Don’t miss out on their baked goodies, especially their Chocolate Devil cake that’s said to be both soft and creamy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. But if chocolate isn’t your thing, they also serve other flavours like Pistachio and Tiramisu, as well as drinks like Butterscotch Latte.

5. Affordable drinks with a girly touch – Kopi Kangen
With the coffee trend in Jakarta booming, one thing you’ll notice is that there are a lot of local coffee shop brands opening – from the famous Kopi Kenangan to Kopi Kangen. But one thing that differentiates this place (especially the branch in Muara Karang) from other coffee stores is its feminine touch.
From its pink coffee roaster machine to pink walls and flowers, you’ll find yourself posing and in awe as you wait for your drink to be served.

Their drinks are really affordable, with the cheapest drink at IDR15k, and if you can’t drink coffee, they also have other non-coffee menus like Kangen Cici (Yakult and Yuzu) and Kangen Kotaro (Milk and Taro). One thing’s for sure – drinking every day isn’t a problem anymore!
6. Chill and dine with the flamingoes – Mana! Eatery & Coffee
Living in Jakarta truly means you’ll miss the beach, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a piece of it in the city! Here, the pink walls are full of flamingo and banana leaf prints that it feels you’re in the tropics.
We absolutely love how cute and cosy the place looks, with plant vines and velvet sofas adorning the cafe – perfect for intimate gatherings!
They also have a good range of dishes from Spaghetti Carbonara and Gyudon (with teriyaki sauce) to Smoothies Bowl and Waffles. So remember to stop by for lunch, dinner or even just an afternoon tea with your gals.

Website 7. It’s time for Chinese food (with a pink twist)! – Zhang Mama
It’s a fact that Chinese food is super easy to get in Jakarta, especially in West Jakarta where a lot of Indonesian-Chinese families reside. But what makes Zhang Mama special is they’ve painted the entire restaurant pink and brightened the shop front with plants and millennial pink flowers! So don’t be surprised if your girlfriends, mom or aunties suddenly drag you here just for the photos (and the food as an afterthought).
With the owner and the chefs originating from China, you won’t be disappointed with their authentic Chinese delicacies. We recommend trying their soft and spicy Mapo Tofu and savoury Bobo Chicken (served on skewers). But if these are too hot for your taste buds, they also have non-spicy dishes like Fried Eggs with Tomatoes.

8. Welcome to Jakarta’s indoor garden cafe – Billie Kitchen
The first thing you’ll notice as you enter Billie Kitchen is the abundance of flowers that adorn the restaurant, along with lush plant vines hanging down above the tables. The walls are also full of colourful giant floral prints that make the entire place feel like an indoor garden (without bees) – so much that every angle looks picturesque and you surely won’t run out of photo ideas while you’re here!
Once you feel hungry, we recommend getting the Mixed Platter to start off for a bite of various appetizers. Afterwards, try one of their Western delights that are raved about including their Linguine Chicken Arrabiata and Croque Madame. But if you’re feeling Asian, they also serve fried rice!

Website 11. Soar with adorable mythical creatures – Miss Unicorn Café
Have you always wanted to dine in a fantasyland where you can play with unicorns? At Miss Unicorn Café, you can now travel to a world of endless possibilities, where unicorns do exist!

If your friends often complain that you’re childish, it’s time to… prove them right! Set your inner child free and let your imagination run wild with the unicorns flying on the ceiling, resting on the sofa, or peeking out from behind the wall in this pink wonderland.

Don’t hold back, rent a unicorn suit and join the herd – now you’re just as magical as these mythical creatures (take that, mature friends)!
Well, there’s nothing fun about being a famished unicorn, so don’t forget to fuel up with their rainbow spaghetti or milkshakes.

But! Every world has its own rules and Miss Unicorn is no exception, so here are some things you should know before coming:
– Every patron is required to order at least one food, drink and dessert.
– There are only eight seats here so you might be placed on a waitlist during peak hours.
– Make sure this wonderland is not booked for private events.
Prance away, little unicorn!
12. Step into a bus that takes you back to the ’60s – IndoDiner
Vroom vroom! For those who wish to travel back to the ’60s, please come on board.
Do remain seated on our retro-style first floor where everything is splashed in happy turquoise. Passengers are reminded that it will be hard to stop Instagramming while you are here (discretionary battery use is advised). Additional seating is also available on the upper deck, where everything (from the ceilings, sofa and table to the entire floor) is coloured in pink.

In a few moments, the bus steward will be coming around to take your order. Extensive Indonesian and Western menus are available here, but we recommend the bestsellers, which include Nasi Ndud, Kopi Subuh and Theater Popcorn.

Washrooms for passengers are located at the rear of the bus. We understand that the black-and-white tiles and pink petrol hose pipe are great for taking photos, but please be considerate and don’t hold up the line!

We will be arriving at our destination shortly. We hope you have had a great time travelling with us. Please ensure that you get all your Insta-worthy photos before leaving!
13. Aloha from Jakarta – Mahalo Coffee

And since it looks that good, you know what that means – photo time!! Remember to wear your best clothes because you don’t want to miss out on taking Insta-worthy shots for your OOTD.
Hungry? They have tons of food options for you to choose from, including Mac and Cheese Paninis to Black Angus Steak. And why not end your meal with something sweet? Whether it’s a fusion dessert like Strawberry and Dango Toast or a classic Chocolate Banana Ice Cream Waffle!

Not only is the setting here terrific, the food that The Garden offers is also equally great. You must try their Crispy Duck Kecombrang, which comes with three different sambals (chilli paste), and don’t miss the ‘She’s Slice of Heaven’ for dessert. The name doesn’t lie – this creamy mille crepe cake will send your tastebuds to heaven. You can choose between Taro or Milo sauce!

Since everybody loves this indoor garden restaurant, it gets a bit crowded during peak hours, so we recommend coming around 11am for a more relaxing dining experience, or make a reservation beforehand!
