1. An Ocean Adventure Playground with Slides, Private Beach Vibes and TWO kids pools – AYANA Resort Bali

SPONSORED

Ready for a super family vacation with all the blessings an island can give you? Because let’s be honest, one of the best parts about Bali is its connection to water in multiple forms.

A stay rich in Balinese heritage, AYANA’s unique children’s play areas, from those submersed in water to ones centred around exploring the land, highlight both Bali’s culture and its natural beauty. Most importantly, all the while, offering hours worth of fun!

AYANA Resort doesn’t just offer beachfront access and adventures, but its special areas for children take water play to the next level! Introducing: Coralight outdoor splash zone (for ages 5 and up)! For the littler tots, the resort has ensured they’re also kept happy and engaged with its exciting Guidepost activities, like music time and sensory nature walks. Based on Montessori principles, these combine educational learning with hands-on ventures in indoor/outdoor settings – available for kiddies from ages 3.

Photo via AYANA

Over at Coralight outdoor splash zone, there are in fact two kids pools here as well as two waterslides. One of the coolest parts about these dedicated children’s pools is that they are conveniently located right next to AYANA's main pool, as well as the Rock Bar if the family is feeling peckish. A kids menu is available too. So Mom and Dad, you can still keep a constant eye on your little ones, or easily hop between the two areas.

The playground is open to younger children, but parental or babysitter supervision is a must at all times!

Photo via AYANA

Feel like sticking your toes in the sand for the afternoon? You are, after all, in Bali! Head down to the secluded Kubu Beach. Or, when the sun begins to dip, enjoy the sunset at KISIK seafood restaurant and stay in time for a scrumptious early dinner with the kids.

If that’s enough water fun for one day, the various indoor playgrounds beckon. This includes the Cerulean or Sandscape playzones. Or stick to the outdoors for the day, just swapping water for land, and opt to join the Guidepost Montessori (for 3 to 6 year olds) or the Green Camp (for older kids, from ages 7 to 12 years), where educational programmes are intertwined with Mother Nature.

Located in Jimbaran, AYANA Resort Bali forms part of AYANA Bali – an integrated resort destination comprising four distinctive properties, each uniquely designed to cater to different needs: AYANA Resort Bali, RIMBA by AYANA Bali, AYANA Villas Bali and AYANA Segara Bali.

2. Your perfect vacation soundtrack – Hard Rock Hotel Bali

Let’s get the party started at Hard Rock Hotel Bali! All the little and big rockers rush to the paradise of music, fun and family parties where everyone becomes a rock star!

To get access to all the fun activities such as rockwall climbing challenge, your young ones have to join the Roxity Kids Club for the special adventures. Take part in the Kids Olympics and maybe you’ll bring a medal home with you!

For the tired parents, get that well-deserved rest on the Sand Island, surrounded by the largest free-form swimming pool in Bali. Find shelter in the cabanas, order food and refreshments from Splash Bistro and enjoy it under the shade with your feet cooling off in the pool.

Meanwhile, you can watch your kids go down the waterslide ecstatically, splashing into a supervised, child-safe pool. They would love walking on the water in a giant zorbing ball and other pool activities!

For lunch, we recommend Starz Diner with indoor and outdoor seating and serves international cuisine. Kids who are members of Roxity Kids Club can have lunch for free!

And this has to be the favourite part for every child (or child-at-heart) – ultimate foam party, held every Saturday at 4pm! Have a family foam fight and see who gets lost under the foam as first!

Your littlest babies (kids under four years old) can now have their fair share of fun at the newly opened Lullaby Playroom, but they must be accompanied by an adult. Older kids will love the TABU Teens Club — an epic space with a private cinema, Play Station 5, Xbox One and Wii U facilities, and also a gaming lounge. Any littlies under 13 years need adult supervision while hanging out at TABU.

After that long day of excitement, retire for the night at the Roxity Family Suite, which is piled full of children’s entertainment such as PlayStation 5. Teenagers can even rent a guitar and take guitar lessons or become DJs with a rented mixer and iPad! Here at Hard Rock Hotel Bali, music is everywhere.

In total, this property has 4 outdoor pools altogether. One of which is a children’s pool complete with waterslides and fun water features. They also have an artificial beach pool for you to have a “beachy vibes” in the middle of Jimbaran!

Their children’s pool is actually connected to their kids’ club! This is so that children would enjoy an “indoor and outdoor” playground feel.

Its kids’ club, also known as Meera Kids Club, is a fun pirate-themed club that the little ones love. Taking up a two-storey area, the first floor is meant for toddlers and younger children. Complete with indoor playground, trampoline and ball pit, your kids will get excited the moment they step in!

The second floor is where the pre-teens hang out. Movenpick has crafted a cosy environment for them with console games and comfortable bean bags for them to socialise and have fun!

They also have interactive activities for families such as yoga, aerobics, arts and crafts, painting, jewellery making and dressing up in Balinese dresses!

Some activities are free while some require a fee to join. The resort has recently introduced its global Family Programme, and these activities are all-inclusive when signing up, along with some other exciting ones like ice-cream sandwich-making (yummy and perfect for those sweltering hot days). These projects are awesome for the little ones wanting to take a break from all the swimming or outdoor fun!
