21. Fun in the woods of Congo
This restaurant was originally a woodcraft gallery too incredible to be closed to the public.
So they opened a restaurant with the same peaceful, natural ambience with a sophisticated design of a gallery. So there’s the best of both worlds.
This culinary gem, with excellent Western food and an incredible natural environment, is tucked away inside lush green woods – you might even forget that you’re not in an actual jungle!
Among all the high-quality steak it offers, the recommended choice is to start with ebony steak, a toothsome tenderloin with luscious mushroom sauce topped with onion rings.
22. Bizarre yet homey in Warung Salse
Welcome to your dream deck house.
It’s not hard to point out this place from afar with its bizarre exterior.

25. Kids’ dreams come true at Treehouse Cafe
Yes, you’ve read correctly.
Here’s a treehouse – the one in every child’s dream.

Better yet for all parents – it’s a treehouse with a cafe where you can sit down and relax in a cosy corner, either indoors or outdoors, while the kids are kept perfectly safe, busy, and happy, clamouring around their actual tree house.
This cafe even has a mini flying fox, so don’t worry if your hyperactive kids are bored by the treehouse!
Here, the specialty meal is also a kid’s favourite – sausages. Parents will approve of it too, as they are healthy homemade sausages with no artificial flavoring – just like this Big Banger Sausage (30cm long!), which is served with vegetables.
26. Three layers of Cocorico
Located in the hip neighborhood of cool cafes with great ambience and an astonishing city view from the heights, Cocorico is an outstanding choice to enjoy food, view, and overall, Bandung.

Other than traditional and Asian food, Cocorico also serves pizza with various toppings – which you must try.
El Diablo pizza is a popular choice with its unique combination of beef, mushroom, jalapenos, and Indonesian cayenne pepper.

At 8pm, there’s also a live music performance to relax or even jam to.
The place serves desirable traditional and European foods with no artificial food flavouring. And one of the must-tries is the combo barbecue, a complete combination of sirloin, snapper fish and shrimp with special Stone Cafe sauce.

This spacious, mostly outdoor dining area is an integrated part of a whole pack of fun for kids, or anyone who just wants a playful moment.

Photo via: Agnes Chen
And there’s this whimsical playground. Your kids would appreciate the outdoor time!
Photo via: Nurfha Keith
But don’t forget what you came here for (part of the reason, at least) – the food. With its specialty of traditional, Western and Asian food, both you and your little one wouldn’t mind leaving that playground. For a while.
If you visit with a group, try Paket Nasi Liwet Komplit for 4 persons, a traditional classic complete with various side dishes, vegetables, and special condiments.

This Sate Buntel Sapi from Kedai Boentel, with its special taste and tender meat, is visitors’ all-time favourite. You can even bring your meal up the boat and have a nice float!
Off the boats and on the ground, this place also offers lots of attractions like animal farms, where you and your little ones can feed rabbits, ducks, swans, and fish.
