With minimalistic yet sleek designs, Shakti Hotel Bandung by Zia (which was previously known as Max One Hotel) has a nice sundeck with a decent-sized infinity-style swimming pool, where you can laze the afternoon away.

Though somewhat cheeky, Shakti Hotel Bandung by Zia has nine rooms which are divided into three themes – Joy, Sincerity, and Love. For families, pick the “Love” room – at a size of 38 square metres, you’ll get one queen-sized bed and twin beds for the kids. With a general white-themed decor with splashes of colour, it gives you a good sense of space.

Although not close to the city centre, the hotel is only a 20-minute drive to Cihampelas Jeans Street and 3 kilometres from Trans Studio.
3. Braga’s Observation Deck: Ibis Styles Bandung Braga Hotel
Braga is one of the most famous spots in Bandung, surrounded by heritage buildings, museums, restaurants, hip cafes and boutiques. So successfully finding an inexpensive room in the vicinity would certainly be a big bonus.
And Ibis Styles Bandung Braga Hotel is that big bonus – the three-star hotel offers lovely two-bedroom Family Rooms. Their own brand of beds with high-tech sprung mattresses will even align with the density points of your body. Doesn’t it sound awesome?

Their apartment-style rooms are very spacious and can accommodate four to six people. Design-wise, they are pretty conventional with hardwood floors and wood elements dominating the entire room, but that simplicity certainly creates a homey vibe.

6. That classy holiday rental: High Livin’ Apartment
Though not located close to the city centre (around 4.7 km from Bandung city), the High Livin’ Apartment is near the Baros exit toll and can offer you a nice respite from all the urban noise.
The holiday rental’s two-bedrooms’ décor are standard but comfortable enough for you to spend all day indoors. For added luxury, opt for the three-bedroom apartment!
And whenever you feel hungry, enjoy local delicacies at the Food Corner where you can dine in traditional huts.
7. For the chic-at-heart: The 101 Bandung Dago Hotel
If your preferred ambience is chic, go for the 101 Bandung Dago Hotel, where you get to stay in loft-style Duplex Suites with checkered floors and walls adorned with cute wallpapers and witty quotes.

8. Javanese vintage abode near shopping: Sukajadi Hotel
Despite Sukajadi Hotel’s humble façade, you’ll be greeted with a quaint and beautiful interior when you step in.
Although the rooms are standard and cosy, we love the hotel’s Javanese vintage feel. The lobby is decorated with local artwork, antiques, paintings, and even old photographs of Bandung. In the afternoon, you may want to take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool delightfully encircled by tropical greenery.

Teenagers will love this, though the open balcony may not be ideal for young children. (We would advise those with young children to opt for the Deluxe Room with two queen-sized beds instead.)
