Best time to travel

You can visit Bintan and Batam anytime as the local weather is generally hot and sunny (always summer!) with a chance of rain throughout the year.

But if you wish to enjoy the tropical sun at its best, March to October would be great as the region enters the dry season. We don’t recommend visiting on Singapore’s public holidays or school holidays (June and December), as the islands are generally crowded with many travellers during those periods.

Getting around

1. Rent a car with driver

For a hassle-free getaway around Batam, we highly recommend you to hire a private car charter online with Klook so you can enjoy a worry-free friends’ trip in the hands of an experienced local driver!

2. Rent a car without a driver

If you’re looking for more freedom and flexibility throughout your trip, opting for a private car without a driver is not a bad idea at all! We recommend Tanlindo Prakasa in Batam for its competitive price and great reviews!
