Sometimes all we want to do is to escape to Bali for a quick vacation that’s easy on the wallet.
Airfare aside, finding fun and easy accommodation can be a little tricky.
What do we choose? From private pool villas to budget unique hotels – direct pool access rooms can be one of the best choices around.
Imagine flying down for a quick 2D3N vacay. You won’t have much time to travel around, and will likely be enjoying time lazing by the pool and soaking up the sun.
What better option than a direct pool access room? Step out of your room and *poof* – you’re right by the pool!
All you need to do is load up on the snacks, drinks, a Bintang beer or two, and you’re good to go for the day.
And at under $55, you know these rooms are a crazy steal!
Note: The prices reflected below are the low season rates, and they exclude tax and service charges. Accommodation rates often change with room availability, and low or high seasons. We recommend double checking for the final prices before confirming your booking.
1. It’s super fun and surfing-themed! – Bliss Surfer Hotel (from USD $45)
If you’ve always been unimpressed with most budget hotels’ nondescript decor, then maybe it’s time to make a trip to Bliss Surfer Hotel. Here, the word “boring” is completely wiped from the dictionary.
As the first surfing-themed hotel in Legian, Bliss Surfer is decked out in beachy decorations, and offers fun rooms that come in a variety of colours. These bright rooms even come with pictures of crashing waves hanging on the walls!
But why stare longingly at fake water when you can have the real thing, right outside your room? The hotel’s Deluxe Lagoon King Rooms feature a private wooden deck, and direct access to the hotel pool.

Although you can’t surf here (sorry, no waves), you’ll definitely enjoy chilling out on the deck on cool days, and cooling yourself off in the pool when the sun won’t let up.

And when you’re tired out from all the swimming, check out the in-house Bombora Restaurant, where both local and international bites are available to whet your appetite.
End off your day with a relaxing massage at Wave Senses Spa & Reflexology – whether you’re a surfer or not, staying here sure is bliss.
2. It’s convenient, private and truly value-for-money – Seminyak Lagoon All Suites Hotel (from USD $36)

Of course, don’t forget to close the curtains when you’re changing in the room, or simply want some privacy.
A good thing about Litus Tirta is that it’s approximately 700 meters from Seminyak Beach, and there are many interesting cafes and places that can be reached with just a short walk!

Who says you can’t get a ‘water bungalow’ experience in a budget hotel?
If you’ve gotten a room on the upper deck and away from the pool, you’ve still got an equally good deal – ‘cause you’re closer to the awesome sundeck.
