It can be difficult sometimes to trust the safety of your children to someone else, especially strangers, but you can rest assured when you see how much care and kindness the kids are guided with from activity to activity. The sight of happy little faces around says it all — kids are safe and happy and are well taken care of by the loving and professionally-trained staff.

And the best thing? Most of the activities are included in your room rate without hidden charges, such as the use of facilities, kids’ club and more (which is uncommon in many resorts)! Isn’t it such great value for money to stay here with your kiddos?

The resort is also located in the middle of a bustling neighbourhood in Kuta, near Waterbom (an exciting waterpark) and Discovery Shopping Mall — no running out on ideas on how to have fun outside of the stay!

This beachfront resort is the ultimate all-inclusive family getaway. Here are 10 reasons to enjoy your time at this lovely family resort!

All rates and prices listed are subject to change.

1. Slide down Bali Dynasty’s very own waterpark!

What child doesn’t love to splash around in the pool?! Besides Bali Dynasty’s main pools, there’s an e.p.i.c. on-site water playground, too, just for our little ones!

Kids will go wild at the Kids Water Fun Zone boasting multiple slides, including a 56-metre-long caterpillar splash slide where you can race down and plunge into the water after one another. So much fun!

For the younger kids, they will love the colourful water palace with jets, cannons, and giant tipping buckets. There’s nothing better than the sound of laughing kids in the splashing water, if you ask me. It sure sets the perfect family holiday vibe, reminding one of when we were happy little rascals.

Little babies can also be gently introduced to some water fun. For the tiniest family member, there is a baby pool with a giant mushroom fountain, where water cascades down into the shallow pool below. Toddlers can also play here!

After their water play, it’s time to take the kids to the outdoor shaded playground with slides, swings, see-saws and more.

2. Check into your sweet family home-away-from-home:

Hear me out, there is more than just one room type for families to choose from at Bali Dynasty Resort! I bet this is why it isn’t your typical family resort. In fact, there are six different types of family-style designed options.

a) Swim up to your family room: Family Lagoon Pool Access Room

I’m not sure if it is the case for you but I’ve seen kids that have a 24/7 need to be in the pool. The moment you check-in at a hotel, they’ll be ready to jump right in. And this also means waking you up at 6am to come and play in the pool too! Perks of being a parent, right?!

So when you find out that you can have a family room with direct pool access at Bali Dynasty Resort, it’ll be exciting for both your little ones and yourself – they will finally have a pool right at their doorstep and you will not need to leave the room at the break of dawn to look after them!

The family lagoon pool access room at the resort is designed with kids in mind and features a safety gate on the terrace; it is also rather homey, not overly contemporary and you can even enjoy views of the pool right from your bed! It’s rather intimate too as you do not have to worry about your kids disturbing other guests around since they can scream and shout right in front of your room!

What’s best is you won’t have to book two of those rooms to fit your whole family as it can accommodate up to 5 guests.

b) Enjoy privacy while the kids go wild: Kids Suite and Family Studio

In the Kids Suite, you’ll find one master bedroom with a king-size bed for Mom and Dad and one compartment designed especially for the kids with a bunk bed and a pull-out trundle bed, sleeping up to three jolly kids beneath the happy Angry Bird blankets.

Before it’s time to tuck the little ones into bed, kids can enjoy a warm bath in the en-suite bathroom, so they will be clean, fresh and ready for a good night’s sleep. There is even a little rubber ducky for them to play with in the tub and brushing their teeth won’t be a problem with the provided toothbrushes and toothpaste specially for kids!

Alternatively, if you’re looking for an even more spacious option, the Family Studio is also an expansive room category which guarantees ultimate privacy for you parents – it features two pull-down beds and a sofa bed in the living area as you enjoy intimate moments in the master bedroom, but it is also equally easy to spend quality time with the little ones as the room configures into one big family compound so morning cuddles aren’t that far away!

3. Sign the kids up for exciting times making new friends: Kupu-Kupu Kiddies’ Club, Pupa Toddler Room & Gamers’ Room

At Bali Dynasty, whether you’re four or fourteen, there are various activities available suitable for different ages.

a) Two levels of absolute fun: Kupu-Kupu Kids Club

It’s an amazing experience to be left on your own as a kid and able to meet others from all around the world. Don’t miss giving this amazing opportunity to your little ones by signing them up at the recently renovated Kupu-Kupu Kids’ Club — split between two levels for different ages.

The ground floor is for kiddos between ages 4 to 9. The upper level is for the older bunch between the ages of 10 to 16. This floor is equipped with a foosball table, billiards, board games, video games and movies.

There are loads of things to do throughout the day, and no, they won’t even bother shedding a tear as you leave for your pampering day…At the club, your little ones can immerse in local Balinese culture, and learn traditional instruments and dance performances. It’s quite unusual to be able to take part in such activities and we appreciate how they’ve introduced culture as part of their activities!

Then, there’s also the Kids Movie Night every Tuesday and Saturday evenings from 6pm to 9pm at the Kids’ Club. But you will need to pre-book and sign up for this beforehand.

I know it can be hard to trust strangers but don’t worry; your kids are in good hands and they’ll want to come back the next day, too!

FYI: The Kids’ Club is right near the kids’ area which includes the Kids Water Fun Zone.

Kupu Kupu Kids’ Club

Kupu Kupu Kids’ Club is free of charge for all guests staying at the resort.
Kids programme schedule here.
Opening hours: Daily from 9am – 6pm

b) A special zone for kiddies under 4: Pupa Toddler Room

We love the fact that Bali Dynasty has a separate area for youngeons under the age of four. When there are a lot of older kids around, our littlest bunch might feel overwhelmed by all the kid-chaos, so this area is perfect!

This space is specifically for them, and how cute is this, the word “pupa” is Indonesian for ‘cocoon’ — which this toddler room provides. It’s a safe space for toddlers to chill out and relax out of the sun.

Equipped with soft mat flooring, there’s a little mini slide, a hut to play “house-house,” building blocks, and more.

Important to know: the room is unsupervised, so Mom and Dad will need to stick around. Alternatively, you can request for a babysitter if you’ve got other plans (just enquire at the front desk), but you will need to do so the day before. You can also book this babysitting service throughout the day or evening and it is not just limited to the toddler’s room.

Pupa Toddler Room

Opening hours: Daily from 9am to 6pm
Optional babysitting services: Rp. 75,000 per hour (Approximately USD $4.71) for a minimum of 2 hours; an additional Rp. 100,000 (Approximately USD $6.28) is charged for this service after 10pm

c) Time to battle it out against friends: Gamers Room

Equipped with the newest VR, PlayStation 5 and the XBOX, if your kids are serious gamers, good luck trying to tear them outta the Gamers Room. There’s even VR games!

And if one of the siblings doesn’t feel up to gaming but wants to watch their big bro or sis, they can hang out on the beanbags and watch the action from here.

As one of the latest and super fun additions to the resort, the room is set up for kids, but adults can feel free to game it out, too — the battle is on, Dad! You can find the room right behind the main lobby area.

But, we do say limit their time in here. You’re in Bali after all. The last thing you want is for your children to be bundled up behind a screen all day!

Gamers Room

Opening hours: Daily from 9am to 6pm
Price: Rp. 60,000 (Approximately USD $3.77) per two hours for children above 8 years old; kids under 8 years old need to be accompanied by an adult.

4. From treasure hunting to duck-feeding: Have a full day of outdoor activities in the resort!

Keeping the kids busy during the holidays is no easy task, especially if you have more than one to satisfy. Or worse, if you have a toddler versus a teenager who find each other boring! As a parent, you wouldn’t be happier at Bali Dynasty Resort as they offer an array of daily outdoor activities for kids of all ages.

Taking into account that not all children can do the same activity based on their age, the outdoor activity programme is split. There are things to do for ages 4-8, 9-12 and 13-16.

Photo Via Edo_elo, Mrs_paulie

Better yet, the activities are conducted outdoors so they aren’t confined to four walls for the whole day — they can enjoy Bali’s fresh air and roam around the resort as they engage in exciting hands-on activities.

One of the most well-loved activities at the resort is their treasure hunt, and there’s also water tug-o-war, kids yoga, boogie board races, mini golf and bicycle rentals (free for guests to use). Throughout the day, the team also brings the kids around the resort to feed the ducks and fish. It’s a lovely time for the young ones as kids love interacting with animals!

Older ones will love the watermelon eating contest — a fun and messy activity (a bonus is that you won’t have to clean any of it!) — where they’ll be challenged to eat the most watermelons! There goes their fruit intake for the day!

Or else, if they’re keen on some water fun, they can get involved in water volleyball, or join one of the ongoing contests, like the highest splash, pool table, or hula hoop comps!

5. One for our little blossoming creatives: Crafts and inspiring artsy activities and games

Not every child loves “outdoorsy” stuff. You get sporty kids, but many children prefer to use their hands and imagination to do craftwork.

We love that Bali Dynasty considers this, offering families a plethora of craft-related games and activities for kids.

Photo Via Capturehappiness

Similarly to the outdoor offerings, the craft-centric things to do are split between ages: 4-8, 9-12 and 13-16. Think about it, a teenager has way better fine motor skills than a five-year-old.

So, what’s on the cards? There are the likes of paper OR towel origami, UNO card games, Balinese offering-making classes, colouring and drawing sessions, accessories-making workshops, art workshops, paper-flower-making and learning percussion and instruments.

6. Check out an oh-so-very princess and prince high tea at: Cafe Piazza

Something sweet, something hearty and something surprising — you are in for a real treat with a delightful afternoon high tea at Cafe Piazza. Dine in this classic Italian-themed café or get comfy in one of the gazebos situated around the resort’s large peaceful duck pond.

French croissants with ham and cheese, English scones, cakes and chocolate rolls. It’s as much a feast for the eyes as it is for the mouth. We loved it till the last crumbs.

And guess what, there’s a little kiddo version too! Don’t let the kids miss out on the special Little Rascals Afternoon Tea with chicken fingers and cupcakes!

Foodies who like trying new things, skip the classic afternoon tea and go for the Balinese Afternoon Tea with local sweets and treats such as fried banana, deep-fried coconut prawns and dadar guling (a famous local pandan pancake filled with coconut shreds and palm sugar).

What’s a pukka Italiano restaurant without…gelato? Offering multiple flavours, this goes hand-in-hand with a long day in the sun.

Cafe Piazza

Prices:
Classic Afternoon Tea OR Balinese Afternoon Tea:
Rp. 150,000 per person (Approximately USD $9.42), minimum 2 people
Little Rascals Afternoon Tea: Rp. 75,000 (Approximately USD $4.71) per child
Coffee & Cake Selection: Rp. 82,000 (Approximately USD $5.15) per person

7. Make your picky eater happy with a cartoon-inspired kids’ menu!

When the little bellies start to rumble, it’s time for lunch! Bali Dynasty Resort adds a whole new dimension to a kids’ menu with its Mickey Mouse Pizza and the one-and-only Batman & Robin burger. Other menu items have adorable names, like ‘Power Puff,’ ‘Castaway Kids Spaghetti’ and ‘Cowboy Chow.’  Surely the little ones would love a bite of that!

If you have little chefs, don’t let them miss making their own pizza. They’ll be dressed up as true pizza chefs, complete with baking hats and aprons. The kids’ pizza-making lunch costs Rp. 75,000 (approximately USD $4.71) and is available every Wednesday.

The kids’ menu is available at all of the resort’s dining outlets, and you can be sure that no matter where you decide to dine at, the mini burgers and pizza are as tasty as can be — simple and good, just the way the kids like it.

The Kids’ Menu starts from Rp. 40,000 (Approximately USD $2.51)

8. Pamper yourself while the little ones play: Ashoka Spa

Being on holiday does involve a little time to #treatyourself. Sometimes when travelling with kids, it can be difficult to steal moments away from them, but luckily, Bali Dynasty Resort has that all taken care of!

While the kids are having bucket loads of fun between the water parks, kids club and plethora of daily activities, steal an hour or two and head to Ashoka Spa for a little pampering.

If you’ve spent way too much time in the sun with your children, consider the ‘Sun Soother’ treatment (Tropical Flower Foot Bath, Full body Massage Soother, Cooling Body polish to soothe your skin and a Flower Milk Bath Tub).

Choccie lovers, there’s also a delicious-smelling Chocolate Hot Stone Therapy! Plus your usuals such as facials, manicures and pedis, oil head treatments, foot therapies, the Signature Massages, and more.

With therapists trained in Thai, Aromatherapy and Reflexology therapies, you’re in the best healing hands possible!

9. Dip in the main pool, lazy pool, and grab a drink from the sunken pool bar: Adults-only zones

It’s true, parents ARE superheroes, but sometimes even we need to catch a break. Book your little ones into the kids’ club or take advantage of the babysitting services, or, while your children are involved in the kids’ indoor and outdoor activities, enjoy some time to yourselves within the adults-only pool area zones.

Remember, you’re on holiday, too!

The main swimming pool is not only huge, but it also has all the elements of a lagoon, with beautiful curves and an exotic cascading waterfall. But it gets even better – this lagoon even features a sunken swim-up pool bar where you can relax and sip on some tropical cocktails before splashing back into the water.

A strictly kids-free zone, sample several drinks on the menu while the kids are having a blast. Mom and Dad can chill out here and cheer from a distance!

Don’t miss the adults-only Lazy Pool too, featuring idyllic spa-style pools with fountains. In this corner of the resort, the ambience is tranquil and peaceful – perfect for you and your spouse to enjoy some quiet time while the kids are having fun in the Kids’ Club or Kids Water Fun Zone.

Soak in one of the pools together, get your back massaged by the waterfall and relax on the poolside lounge beds afterwards, with drinks and snacks to go along. It’s what holidaying is all about!

P.S. There are also some super fun adult-only activities. Pool golf competitions, adults-only volleyball, bingo, Hatha yoga, aqua aerobics, and happy hours from 12pm to 1pm, and again from 5pm to 6pm. CHEERS!

10. Eat til your heart’s content from an array of various: Themed Restaurants

With a whopping six restaurants and three bars, there’s plenty of choice when it comes to dining (and wining) at Bali Dynasty. Some examples to tantalise your tastebuds include Queen’s of India for spicy infusions, SEN5ES for buffet breakfasts, Café Piazza and Oasis for private events. The Sunset Bar, Sunken Bar and D Lounge is where to grab drinks.

Plus, these amazing options:
