Have you always wanted to spend a late Sunday morning enjoying a good long brunch with your family?
Even better – if there’s a pool or playground at the restaurant to keep the energetic kids entertained while you enjoy a slow meal with your spouse and friends.
And yes you can get these in Bali, which is also the perfect destination to sample a variety of cuisine, Asian, Western or fusion!
From kids’ menus to on-site activities, here are some family-friendly brunch places in Bali that will have you thrilled to be together – and lay the groundwork for a fun day as a family!
1. Brunch with the Orangutans: WANA Restaurant (Bali Zoo)
If you’re after something a little less ordinary (and a little more wild!), the Wana Restaurant and Lounge is a must-see (or rather, a must-eat).
Though there are so many wonderful places in Bali to enjoy a delicious and healthy brunch, there is only one where you can dine in the company of orangutans!
Not only will you get to relax while you eat, but your kids will be amazed and excited to be so close to the animals. Enjoy a complete breakfast of fresh local fruit, freshly-baked bread and jam, and your choice of main courses ranging from Western classics like Eggs Benedict to national favourites like Nasi Kuning.
For families who just can’t get enough of this unique and awe-inspiring experience, feel free to come back between 2pm and 5pm for high tea with the lions!
2. Bali’s Longest Brunch by the Ocean: Sundara Bali
As you enjoy every bite of your meal, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the vast blue ocean, feel the sea breeze in your hair and touch the soft white sand beneath your feet.
Does this sound like the ideal family brunch?
If you’re looking for an exotic holiday brunch at a luxurious location like this, look no further than the Sundara Bali Sunday brunch at Four Seasons in Jimbaran, where you can dine on the beach.
At this weekly brunch, which features modern Asian-inspired cuisine, runs from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm every Sunday (yes you can eat for 6 hours!), you can have unlimited selections of small plates to choose from – perfect for tasting and sharing!
What’s more, there is even a kids’ menu specifically for younger diners, so your little ones will be thrilled!
And if the heat is getting to you, not to worry – Sundara offers choices of both a hot and cold brunch menu, so you can pick suitable plates to cool down your palate!
Be sure to save some room for something sweet – there is an extensive range of dessert as well.
When you’ve had your fill of this scrumptious, relaxed Sunday brunch, you can check out the other amenities offered here, which you will have access to, such as the 57-metre infinity pool and the Kids Club (located right next to the Sundara Restaurant).
With different themed activities every day, such as treasure hunts, kite-flying, and arts and crafts, you can be assured that your kids will be well-looked after and have all the fun too!
And what’s awesome food without good music? While you munch on your Sunday brunch, you can also enjoy live music by Australian songstress Lydia Rose (from 1pm to 3pm)!
After brunch, you don’t need to leave – Happy Hour starts at 5pm, during which you can chill with your friends over 2-for-1 cocktails while watching the sun go down over the horizon.

Drop by Milk & Madu, where breakfast starts at 7am and lasts till it closes for the night!
Particularly popular are the breakfast sandwiches and the famous nalu bowls (a refreshing and simple mixture of fresh local fruit, granola, honey, and coconut flakes). These bowls are the perfect sweet treat to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth and give your kids the nutrition and energy boost they need to keep them busy for hours!
While you sit back and enjoy your morning, you can rest easy knowing that your kids are well-attended with the range of activities offered on weekends, from arts-and-crafts to games in the grassy play area.
The open-air setup of this space also means that a little bit of horseplay between excited kiddies won’t disturb other patrons!
8. Pinkies Out! High Tea Fit For Royalty: Biku
High tea is no longer only for the adults at Biku, where your children can try out the real thing for themselves.
The kids’ high tea set is presented on a classy three-tiered plate, just like the adult version. The only difference – they get cute miniature versions of the snacks, with delicious cakes and scones stacked up high.
And when they’re tired of stuffing themselves, you can request for games and colouring books to keep the little ones occupied, while you scour Biku’s well-stocked bookshop for a good read to bring home.
You can even buy some children’s books about Bali for the kids, just to remind them of the awesome experience.

Serving up breakfast specials like scrambled eggs served with toast, sautéed mushrooms, and grilled tomatoes, to waffles with various yummy toppings – the meals here are perfect for kids.
Honestly, which kid could ever turn down a good plate of waffles and pancakes? Bringing the kids here will also mean that you’ll get to sit quietly at the restaurant enjoying a peaceful meal – while watching your babies run around the grass and down to the beach.
Last of all, don’t forget to bring a camera if you decide to come here. The coconut trees, green grass and sparkling sea is the perfect combination for stunning photos of your family vacation.
