Truth is, there are so many beaches around Bali but you surely have so little time to see them all, right? If most of the beaches in Uluwatu, Kuta, and Canggu attract a good crowd of beautiful bodies and hot surfers, we absolutely love the coastline spanning South Bali’s top resort spot – Nusa Dua, which is also known for its luxury resorts and lovely manicured lawns and gardens.
In fact, the area features some naturally immaculate beaches that are nowhere to be found around the island – think turquoise shallow waters to dip your feet and white-sand beaches to throw your towel.
And what better way to enjoy Bali’s best beaches than by staying very close to them? There’s an extensive stable of accommodation in Nusa Dua, some of which we’ve tried and tested and options are for every taste and budget (despite the area being known for exclusive resorts housing more affluent tourists).
Whether it’s the sea, the sun or the sand that brings you, here are some super affordable, mid-range and high-end stays in Nusa Dua to enjoy, relax and make the best of Bali’s most stunning beaches!
11 Affordable restaurants in Nusa Dua (Bali) outside resorts with good food just a short walk/drive away
14 Fun family beach resorts in South Bali’s top kid-friendly areas (Seminyak/ Kuta/ Legian, Nusa Dua, Sanur and Jimbaran!)
Note: The prices reflected below are the low season rates, and they exclude tax and service charges. Accommodation rates often change with room availability and low or high seasons. We recommend double checking for the final prices before confirming your booking.
1. Enjoy magical views without splurging! – Mahogany Hotel (For couples and families)
If just like us, you consider good views as important as comfortable beds while choosing a stay in Nusa Dua, Mahogany Hotel might be one that hurts the hip-pocket the least. To add, the hotel has a strong reputation for providing excellent guest service, with their overly-appraised staff, but also for all their comfortable amenities and facilities.

It takes you a short 20-minute drive from the airport to check into comfortable rooms that will feel like home away from home, with bed options for families too (family rooms and interconnecting rooms are available)!
Photo Via Tutekawana
With its ideal location, you will also have access to the nearby convenience store where you can stock up on snacks while the hotel features various options to defeat your hunger – you’ll find a restaurant by the pool, a sports cafe, as well as their very own lounge bar with magical views of the endless ocean to grab a few drinks when the sun sets.

We’re sure you’ll love the fact that this unbeatable budget option even has a swimming pool with plenty of seating around. And when you’re ready to head out, simply drop by the lobby and request for a free drop-off (available for various locations around the area)!2. Bring a splash of colour to your stay! – POP! Hotel Nusa Dua (For couples and families)
Try this bold and bright stay to leave you feeling perky, bright and cheery while on holiday in Nusa Dua! Bright splashes of colour are found everywhere throughout the hotel’s décor, bringing the interior to life.
Nothing fancy in here but POP! Hotel is your comfortable budget stay in Nusa Dua. We’d say it is a good option for when you’ve finally managed to make it to Bali but don’t have deep enough pockets to fulfil your posh hotel dreams.

In fact, if you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring around the island and enjoy Nusa Dua’s best beaches, we’d totally recommend you to book a room here. What’s more, they have a convenience store, a cafe and a rooftop bar to enjoy views of the nearby Benoa Bay and even Mount Agung (in the early morning).

We are also comfortable with the fact that it is located only 15-20 minutes from the airport so you can simply drop bags after landing before hitting the nearest beach.
Rooms are equally welcoming, with quirky interiors, comfy beds and clean bathrooms. We’re talking budget stay here so do not expect luxury amenities, but all of what you really need is there. You can also always stock up from the convenience store or nearby shops too!

3. A worry-free all-inclusive getaway – Bali Tropic Resort & Spa (For couples)
Come right here if you fancy a holiday where you don’t have to sign a bill at every turn, and where everything is taken care of (being all-inclusive) while you simply bliss out!
With traditional Balinese vibes that abound and seclusion as their main selling point, Bali Tropic Resort & Spa checks all the boxes. You’ll have a hard time deciding where to dip into – the oceanfront pool or the blue sea that lies just beyond.

Spend your day plunging in and out of both before enjoying the open-air restaurants that are complimented for their natural sea breeze (but of course for their delicious dishes too!).
Now what’s even better is that you won’t have to fight over sun loungers as there are plenty of them around the pool and right on the beach so you sure will enjoy these for a nap after a heavy meal.

Make the most of your kid-free moments right in their rooms. These even come with a romantic bathtub for guaranteed relaxing and quiet intimate times to unwind blissfully.

What’s even more romantic? The spa – quietly tucked away and giving the best of both worlds – a calm and intimate ambience where you lovebirds can rejuvenate.
4. Experience life in a village – INAYA Putri Bali Resort (For couples)
The architects of Inaya Putri Resort created a unique project inspired by the Penglipuran Village, a traditional Balinese countryside village. ‘The Village’ consists of 19 villas, all with private access to the 130-metre-long river-style pool.
Each villa has its portion of the river pool separated by walls, so guests can have some privacy.

For a more budget option, you can opt for the Deluxe Pool Access room, which gives you direct access to the communal lagoon pool.

The design of the rest of the complex is also worth noticing, as it represents a part of the Balinese culture and mythology. Look carefully and you will be able to find signs of several Balinese goddesses such as Rukmini (Goddess of Beauty and Grace) or Saraswati (Goddess of Knowledge, Art, Spirituality and Music).

5. Splendid ocean views from a cliff top – Hilton Bali Resort Nusa Dua (For families)
Who else also thinks that it doesn’t matter how awesome a hotel is if it lacks one very important element — a good view?! There are also four pools including a 30-metre waterslide for unlimited fun!

Well, it’s never too late to squeeze in a beach vacation, especially if you can do it at an incredible resort located atop a 40-metre cliff overlooking the glimmering grand Indian Ocean! Even though you are located high up, the resort feels like it’s in the heart of the ocean.
If you’re a summer-loving vacationer who is considering the sound of waves as your only vacation partner, what’s better than lounging oceanside and feeling the breeze?
While every room, suite, and villa at the Hilton Bali Resort features a private balcony or terrace overlooking the ocean or lush tropical gardens, our ultimate pick is their Cliff Tower Ocean View Room that introduced balcony goals we never knew we had.
Photo Via TripCanvas
As you enter the newly-refurbished oceanview room, slide the balcony door and you’ll be greeted by unobstructed infinity views of the horizon; yes the kind that will swoon you away with salt-aired relaxing times! Not only can you see the water from the expansive balcony, but inside, sitting on your bed provides a similar feel.

The resort, wedged between palm-fringed gardens and the ocean, features 388 rooms and suites and 19 luxurious villas but its pièce de résistance sure is the common area with its six restaurants serving Japanese, Balinese, Italian and Western cuisines, along with the latest dining spot that sits right in front of the ocean “The Shore Restaurant & Bar” and masters the art of seafood.

6. This hotel has welcomed kings and queens, presidents and other dignitaries – Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa (For couples and families)
Prepare for nothing less than full immersion in nature’s wonders at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa. Lush green tropical trees and well-manicured gardens surround the property, but you’re also set smack-bang on the beach and get to enjoy views of the ocean from some of their stunning room as well, so waking up on a Monday gets a tad easier here!
The resort is a tropical Balinese paradise for families looking to escape the hustle and bustle of other crowded areas like frenzy Kuta and Seminyak. Plus, we see no wrong in being set by the beach so your little ones can set free and enjoy the beautiful stretch of sand.
The highlight here is their Palace Club room which has perks like access to a private lagoon pool and lounge. One exclusive experience!
But if you were to ask me, it is their Tamarind Restaurant that has me drooling – the all-bamboo venue is ideally set on the beach with toes-in-the-sand seating options and serves delicious Meditteranean dishes. You’ll find a total of five restaurants and four bars at the hotel, so there’s never quite a reason to ever leave.
Whether you’re here with family or your lover, you’ll enjoy the on-site activities and facilities. I mean, three pools and still not fun enough? Come on now!
7. A whole week of fun and varied activities for the kids – Novotel Nusa Dua (For families)
From Monday to Sunday, Novotel Nusa Dua has arts and craft days, green days, sports and education days, and wet-sweat and outdoor fun days.
From 8:30 am to 6 pm, the little ones have a wide range of activities to entertain themselves with. You can plan their days in the Kids’ Club according to their preferences as well.

If you and your children find these interesting, they may join the cultural day and dive right into Balinese culture. Learn how to make flower arrangements, do wood carving, play traditional Balinese games, weave coconut leaves, and even have fun with costume dress up, dance lessons, and temple-visiting.
Activities like baking lessons are held in different areas within the hotel, and not only at the kids club.
On some days they will be going to the pool, and other days they will go to the garden, or take a 5-minute walk to the beach!

The girls can even have a girly beauty spa day at the Junior InBalance Spa. There, they will get their nails beautifully done with colourful and nice manicures, as well as fun hair braiding. (There is even a Princess and Barbie package!) After the Junior spa massage and treatments, they’ll get to dig into yummy ice cream too!
P.S. The Deluxe Suite with 2 double beds comes with a balcony with a lovely pool view and is suitable for up to 4 adults! It’s a pretty good deal if this is what you’re looking for. 🙂
8. In the lap of luxury – The Laguna Bali (For families)
The Laguna Bali might be a luxury hotel that will cost slightly more, but the holiday experience that your family will get there is also one that you’ll remember forever. So, if you have the money, why not go for it?
Daily activities include kayaking, scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing and many more. Kids will also have fun with kid-oriented activities, such as kite-flying and canang sari-making.

Actually, even walking around the resort is an experience in itself. Join in the Destination Discovery tour to explore and understand all the unique and precious artefacts that are scattered all around the hotel.
You’ll even get to enjoy a fire dance performance – what could be a better way to learn about Bali?
You can also enjoy the beauty of Bali’s nature right within The Laguna. The resort’s large infinity lagoon pool is surrounded by tropical greenery and stretches right from the lobby to the beach.

Yes, there are even waterfalls – you’ll hardly feel like you’re in a manmade establishment at all!
While you’re lounging around or surfing up the waves, your little ones can also have a ball of a time at the Children’s Learning Centre in St. Regis Bali, The Laguna’s sister resort.
Simply arrange beforehand for a free transfer, and send your kids off for a fun day of cooking, Balinese craft and music lessons, and many other exciting activities!
While the young’uns are making some memories they’ll never forget, you can unwind at the award-winning Lagoon Spa, or arrange for a romantic dinner on the beach with your loved one.
Oh yes, you’ll get to choose from luxurious rooms with a garden or lagoon view. Excuse us while we empty our bank accounts.

On top of being one of Bali’s best family beach resorts, you should know that Grand Mirage Resort also has one of the best resort kids’ clubs in Bali. This means you get the best of both worlds – family bonding with your kids, and quality alone time with your other half.
For accommodation, make your choice between garden view, ocean view, or even a family ocean suite. Regardless, you’re sure to enjoy a clean, beautiful, comfortable and spacious cocoon.
